  1. Does the staff at Il Casolare di Libbiano speak English?
    Yes, the staff speaks English as well as other languages.
  2. What are the check-in/check-out times?
    Check-in is at 3pm and check out is at 11 am. Upon request, the time frame can be modified. It is also possible to leave your baggage with us if you arrive early or even after check-out, to be picked up later that day.
  3. If my estimated arrival time is late at night, is this going to be a problem?
    Absolutely not! We will work with you to arrange a postponed check-in upon request. Please note that check-in after 8 pm does have a small surcharge. We need to know of a delayed check-in before 3pm of the same day and check in after 11 pm is not allowed.
  4. What services are included in the price?
    Breakfast, Internet and museum reservations (not the cost of the ticket) are included in the price. Not included is the San Gimignano city tax (1.50 Euro per person, per night for a maximum of 5 nights. Children under 12 are not subject to this tax) This tax is paid at the moment of check out.
  5. What type of breakfast is served and what are the hours?
    Breakfast is served from 8 -10 am. There is an abundant buffet with sweet and savory options, including a fresh fruit salad, croissants, bread, various cold cuts and cheeses, yogurt, cereal, marmalades, juice, coffee, tea, cappuccino, hot chocolate, American coffee and milk. Upon request we can even prepare fresh eggs.
  6. Does Il Casolare di Libbiano have a parking lot?
    Yes, we offer free private and shaded parking for all of our guests.
  7. Is there an Internet point for the guests?
    There is free WIFI connection in the common areas.
  8. What is included in the room?
    All rooms come with: private bathroom, hair dryer, courtesy beauty kit, a complete set of bathroom linens, pillows, heating, a ceiling fan, and mosquito screens in the bathroom and bedroom.
  9. How can I participate in the cooking lessons?
    In order to take part in the cooking lessons, you need to make a request to our offices. Be sure to include the number of persons who want to participate, the preferred days and the type of lesson you would like to take. We will confirm the availability as soon as possible.
  10. At the moment of reservation, can I request a specific room or choose the floor and position of the room?
    Our staff will do their best to take care of all of your special needs. We are not always able to guarantee the position, floor or specific room due to availability but we do encourage you to send your request in the NOTES on the reservation form, and we will use that as a guide.
  11. We are travelling with our children, do you need to advise you prior to our arrival?
    Yes, in this way our staff can be prepared for your arrival. Note, that children under 3 stay for free (as long as you do not require an extra bed) and children under 2 stay for free (with the use of a baby cot or crib). Children between 4 and 6 pay 15 Euros extra and both children over 6 and extra adults pay 25 Euros per person, per note for each supplemental bed and breakfast. All extra beds are available only upon request and subject to confirmation.
  12. Our dog usually travels with us, do we need to leave them at home?
    Small dogs are allowed to stay however, only in the apartments with an independent entrance. Please advise before you arrive with the animal.
  13. How can I reserve online through your website?
    A reservation with us is rapid and easy with our online booking system, which is both certified and guaranteed.
  14. Are your price per night, per room or per person?
    Our prices are per room, per night and they include the breakfast buffet, and national service taxes. They exclude the San Gimignano tax.
  15. How can I pay for a room reserved for “Best Offers”?
    The rooms reserved through our “Best Offers” shall be paid directly at Il Casolare di Libbiano, at the moment of your check-out. The reservation however, shall be confirmed with a credit card or a bank transfer for the amount of the first night stay. There is absolutely no reservation fee.
  16. Why do you request my credit card information at the time of reservation?
    If the reservation is with one of our “Best Offers”, the card is used to hold your reservation and only at the moment of check-out do we debit any funds. If you are reserving with the Prepaid option, the total cost of the reservation will be debited to your card at the moment of the registration. In case of a cancellation, there will be no reimbursement of funds.
  17. What type of credit card is accepted as a reservation guaranty?
    We accept only Visa and Mastercard.
  18. What is your cancellation policy for “Best Offers” prices?
    In case of a cancellation or change in the booking within 12 noon of the 8th day prior to the reservation arrival date, there are no extra costs. If there is a cancellation or change in the booking between the 7th to the 3rd day prior to the reservation arrival date, there will be a charge for the first night. In the case of a “no show” or a change/cancellation after the 3rd day, the total cost of the reservation will be charged.
  19. Is there an additional fee for reserving online?
    There is absolutely no reservation fee.
  20. Is this a secure connection for my credit card information?
    The card details are sent through a crypted and certified system according to the SSL protocol. The certified SSL protocol guarantees the website. The secure transmission of your credit card details is guarantied by the lock logo that appears on the bar of your browser (Internet Explorer). The transmission and reception of this information through a secure server is signalled by your browser when you see https:// (note the “s”) and not http://, which is an additional assurance that the information is secure.
  21. Privacy?
    According to the rules and regulations of DLgs. n. 196 del 30 giugno 2003, Your personal information sent for the booking purposes on our reservation form will be used only for the purpose of concluding the reservation and for no other reason. They will not be give to a third party unless it is to specifically conclude the booking.
  22. Is the privacy of my personal information guaranteed?
    Our server and network are protected with firewalls that impede the access of unauthorized persons. This means that we are able to guarantee that when you send your information it is totally secure. We use advanced and secure technology “Secure Socket Layer” (SSL) for all of your information and credit cards.
